What is Darkroom?
Darkroom is a native iPhone focus app. You compose one photograph, then stay while it develops. The frame becomes the record of that session.
What happens if I switch apps?
Absences through eight seconds are free. After that, time away can fog the print. Damage only counts before the session’s planned completion.
Can I retake a photo?
You can compose before you start. Once a session starts, its frame is committed and cannot be retaken.
What if I end a session early?
The session record is retained. Darkroom does not erase an imperfect, damaged, or abandoned frame.
Does locking my phone pause a session?
Darkroom tries to treat a locked phone as rest rather than a distraction. On some passcode settings, iOS cannot reliably distinguish a lock from leaving the app, so a lock may fog the print.
Where does Darkroom store my photos and session data?
Photos and session records stay in local app storage on your iPhone in v1. Darkroom has no account, photo backend, or sync service.
Which devices does Darkroom support?
Darkroom is being built for iPhone on iOS 18 or later. Supported-device details will be confirmed with the public App Store listing.
How much will Darkroom cost?
Final pricing will appear on the App Store at launch.
